GUY NOYAUX CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGIST
Professional • Experienced • Ethical
Are you struggling with issues related to low mood, anxiety, self-esteem, trauma, grief, addiction, or major life changes? There comes a time when we need some help from a professional to help cope with many of life’s challenges. I am a Clinical Psychologist in the Sydney CBD, and I am able to help you on your journey toward change, healing and self-discovery.

In close to 30 years of experience, I have provided people with help in a wide range of life’s difficulties and human concerns, and across the life span. When you have the opportunity to better understand yourself and your difficulties, and develop skills to make change, life can not only be less overwhelming and exhausting, but satisfying, content and hopeful. My goal is to help you make changes and understand yourself more deeply.

Taking the First Step
When you are feeling distressed, confused, or overwhelmed, taking the first step can seem scary.
The first session is more like a conversation in getting to know you (and you me). My style is warm, non-judgemental, empathic, and to provide an opportunity to really listen to your concerns, so that you can feel safe to explore your personal difficulties.

In my over 25 years of extensive training and experience, in both the public and private sector, and during an extensive period as a Child, Adolescent and Family Clinical Psychologist I have refined my skills in the art of therapy. No two people are identical even if they present with the same problem. So my approach is individualised, collaborative, and using a range of evidenced-based approaches which include:

developing cognitive-behavioural skills (CBT, ACT, mindfulness) to enhance coping in shorter term therapy

when needed, extending sessions beyond just focussing on skills, to increase awareness and understanding through a psychodynamic framework to work through persistent patterns of behavioural and emotional difficulties, enabling people to make positive changes in their lives.
